Dr. Pierce’s doctoral dissertation’s foci was researching past, current, and future leadership practices. In this endeavor he traced the emergence of empirically (research) based leadership development (LD) from the 1950s through the last meta-analysis (thorough investigation) of LD. From this research and conducting interviews with current LD practitioners, Dr. Pierce emerged several different findings—implications for both practice and research. Another focus of his research was how LD is situated in the ever-evolving digital world. From these research findings, IVC has the underlying knowledge and insight to most effectively provide any individual, group, or organization with their leadership solutions. In addition, Dr. Pierce has vast experience in researching and facilitating emotional intelligence (EI) training. He has facilitated EI development for several years with exceptional results. See his attached article on how EI can be effectively delivered through digital means. However, in-person EI development is a staple of Dr. Pierce’s leadership facilitation.
